Hoy dejo un modesto homenaje al maestro del land art Richard Long, no he podido resistirme al cruzarse en mi camino virtual estos días, porque supo construir increíbles piezas conceptuales en la naturaleza, a escala humana, llenas de sensibilidad, poesía y una pizca de sentimiento de soledad.
Y todo esto, lo consiguió con mínimas intervenciones a base de materias básicas, encontradas en el entornos natural y con un marcado carácter efímero, pero bueno, todo esto ya lo sabéis…
Hoy me quedo, con sus largas líneas, dibujadas sobre lienzos naturales de cualquier parte del mundo.
Él resume así su trabajo (lo dejo en inglés, que suena mejor):
«In the nature of things:
art about mobility, lightness and freedom.
Simple creative acts of walking and marking about place, locality, time, distance and measurement.
Work using raw materials and my human scale in the reality of landscapes.
the music of stones, paths of shared footmarks, sleeping by the river´s roar.»
Prefiero no añadir más, cuando tanto se ha dicho ya sobre él.
